How to Quickly Recover Your Phone System with Tonet

Create an Account

The first step to recovering your phone system is creating an account with Tonet. Our registration process is straightforward and only takes a few minutes. Simply fill out our form with the necessary details to get started.

Top Up Your Account

Once signed up, you can top up with as little as $20. This initial credit allows you to get a temporary number, which we’ll use to restore your system. A phone number costs only $2.50.

Choose a Phone Number

Now choose a phone number, and add it to your Tonet system. We'll explain why this is needed in the next step.

Log in to Tonet.app

Browse to tonet.app and log in. You will now be able to receive calls to the phone number you selected. Next, we'll explain the secret to restoring your existing phone number.

Forward Your Number

Here's the secret: even if your previous phone system is down, most carriers can still forward your number to another number. Contact your carrier and ask them to forward your number to the new Tonet number you added. This way, any incoming calls to your original number will be redirected seamlessly to your Tonet system.

Configure Caller ID for Outgoing Calls

But what about outgoing calls? This is where the magic happens. We will configure your system to use your existing number as the Caller ID for outgoing calls.

  1. Navigate to the Phones section of the dashboard.
  2. Click on "Add a new Caller ID."
  3. Enter your existing well-known number and follow the on-screen instructions to answer our automated call for verification.

Apply your Verified Caller ID

Once you’ve verified your existing number, return to the Phones section. Edit your new Tonet number and apply the verified Caller ID. Now, when you make calls from Tonet, your customers will see your original well-known number, maintaining consistency and trust.
